THE COMMON MAN

I used to think the common people were the real people, the true humans.....humans as humans are to be.. untainted by the fakeness and corruption of excess, of money, having to conform to certain unnecessarily unnatural standards.
My eyes are fairly more opened now.....the common man is just as much a curse of the world. The common man could be seen as one with common means....this is not the full curse. The common man, with common...or basic intellect is the curse of the world. The common man is deprived, he is unsightly, prone to ills, ills sometimes as a result of his own poor reason. The common man is usually oblivious to how ailing he is and as a result will never bother to comprehend a better position or at least would never comprehend how to get better. But what would the world be without the common man? It is undeniable that the common man is necessary for the "arduous bodily labour which is requisite in order to furnish the endless needs of the whole race" as Schopenhauer puts it. Even for not so essential purposes as the entertainment which the common man provides. Much like the case with children, the antics, the folly and ultimate futilities of the common man is amusing. His view of money as the ultimate aim, his general view of life, his affinity for and belief in superstitions and fairytales are all just as amusing as they are pathetic. The common man would still remain common even if he became wealthy. The common man defrauds another and robs and steals, his mind is low and incapable. Money is the peak of his comprehensive powers and he will commit atrocities for it. Even when he becomes extremely wealthy and “not so common", his common mind would betray itself in its own stupidity and foolhardiness and in its sickly, pathetic judgements and thought process. The common man is oblivious to his environment in the insightful sense and ruins it by his actions which he would excuse as "necessary" even if he is made aware of it. The common man is quick and smart with quotes about money, “chasing the bag" and "opps" and "bros"....those are what his common existence revolve around, no matter how enriched it may be by alcohol, drugs, sex, excess money, legitimate or illegitimate.
